Democrats Undermine Pres. Bush at Nation's Peril

Original Article

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Sen. Joe Lieberman on Friday criticized Republicans who accuse Democratic critics of the Iraq war of encouraging terrorists, arguing such talk "demeans the freedom we are all fighting for." This week, House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said Democrats "are more interested in protecting the terrorists than protecting the American people." Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld has raised the specter of Nazi appeasers in his attacks on war critics, part of the GOP's steady drumbeat of rhetoric contending Democrats are weak on national security.

I think it is obvious to any fair minded person that the current psychology of the Democratic Party is set on undermining the President of the United States and they are underminding the country against a most deadly foe against their better judgement.

I hardly think it's "fair-minded" to analyze the whole Democratic Party. How can you possibly say, "the current psychology of the Democratic Party..." give me a break... this kind of vague and counter-productive generalisms is what got this country into the mess it's in now. Look around -- this President has virtually no world-leader friends except maybe Tony Blair. The only friends we have in this world are the countries with their hand out, looking for some cash. Egypt - 3 billion, Israel - 3 billion, etc. When is this administration going to learn that we cannot take on the rest of the world unilaterally. That, my friend, is undermining our country.

Any world leader who would deny us the right to defend our citizens and their security interests is not our nation's friend. I'll stick with Pres. Bush over those who want us to appease our enemies for the sake of short-lived peace.

Besides it doesn't work with bullies.
