Analogies - I always thought were the way we compare

something we know with something we are not quite as familiar

with.

Analogies are some kind of bridge from what we know to 

what we don't know.

The bridge between knowns and unknowns.

Old and new.

Knowledge to new information.

For example, the worm encases itself in its cocoon and...

Only to be reborn as a butterfly.
