Looks like someone didn't read the memo, but in backward Louisiana where Governors have nervous breakdowns on TV and refuse to declare New Orleans a disaster area so help can come ...and where Mayors jump up and down and scream for assistance while 2000 school buses are flooded instead of commandeering the buses and evacuating his citizens...I'm ultimately not surprised by anything they do down there.

Hi Mahndisa,

glad to here from you...I hope you and your family are doing well considering the recent lost of your grandmother...I just don't have the words to express my condolences...

I posted this article in partial disbelief initially...but as I thought about the state of Louisiana, I got the feeling that it is an anachronism...and the disaster that befell that area just blew the lid off of the poverty that is endemic to that region of the country. It's just sad to me that few are willing to place the blame at the feet of the true cause of this situtatio...the massive failure of the great society programs and the dependence it has bred in the citizens who have come to rely on those projects.
