Signs of a broken insurgency.

On the day Fallujah is proven to be the major weapons depot--not to mention slaughterhouse--for the insurgency, several Sunni Clerics want to postpone the elections. Good try boys, but we've seen this tactic before. BAGHDAD, Iraq - Leading Sunni Muslim politicians Thursday urged postponement of the Jan. 30 national elections, and a senior official said the government had agreed to meet outside the country with Saddam Hussein supporters to try to convince them to abandon the insurgency. Elsewhere, U.S. troops said they had uncovered the largest weapons cache to date in Fallujah, where Iraqi officials said more than 2,000 people died in the weeklong U.S.-led offensive aimed at curbing the insurgency so that elections could be held nationwide. Sunni politician Adnan Pachachi, a former foreign minister and a member of the Iraqi National Council, said delaying the ballot by three months or more would enable political leaders to convince Sunni clerics and others to abandon their boycott…

Praise God!

Here's George Washington's original Thanksgiving Day proclamation:

[New York, 3 October 1789]

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may t…

The Darker Side of the Democrats

In an earlier post entitled Is it OK to express your hatred of Blacks.... I was writing about some observations about the Democratic Party's expressions of racial unity. Now, I have some more evidence to prove my assertion that the liberal elites are condescending bigots.First, there was the political cartooning of Ted Rall and Jeff Danziger suggesting that Condi Rice was some kind of grotesque mammie. Now, John Sylvester has had to apologize(half hearted as it is)for calling Dr.Rice, Aunt Jemima on his radio program. And what do you think the response has been from the media wing of the Democratic Party...Well, Alan Colmes of Hannity and Colmes whined about having to denounce every Liberal who make a racist comment. That a boy, Alan. Show us what you are made of.However, Mychal Massie has weighed in on the Dem's dark secret in his latest essay--Negroes vs. Black Conservatives. Here are some of his more pithy points:In the minds of elite, white, liberal, socialist Democrats, …

He's not faking now!

While visiting Boots on the ground, I found a petition in support of the Marine who shot a insurgent feigning dead.

If you would like to support our troops in general, and this brave young man in particular, you might like to sign the petition too.

When is a Mosque, not a Mosque?

We've been playing in the theatre of the absurd for too long. It's about time that one of our field commanders has finally thrown down the gauntlet and proclaimed: If an insurgency is based inside a Mosque, that building is no longer a place of worship and will be stormed like any other base of military operation.

If any Muslim wants to save these sacred houses, they might like to suggest to their fellow Muslims to not use their halls of worship as guerilla bases, or bombs will be a-dropping!

More: U.S., Iraqi Forces Raid Baghdad Mosque

Update: Associated Press asks "Why are we raiding Mosques in Iraq?" Answer: Cause that's where the guns are!

Is it OK to express your hatred of Blacks....

if they are Republicans? The Democrats seems to think so--remember what I told you, the Democrats are the party of racial hatred..

I'll give you the proof to my thesis in the coming days. For now, the rent must get paid!

Update I: J. Matt Barber chimes from his perch at the Canada Free Press, on my observation that the Democratic party is the party of Racism and devaluation of black participation in the American Dream. His latest foray in the morass which is the Democratic party's sanction of racial attacks on Condi Rice is found in The Democratic party: Modern day slave master.

Barber writes:

Still, on the larger front in the battle between Republicans and Democrats for the hearts, minds, souls and votes of black Americans, it’s quite simple. The Democratic Party’s survival is dependent upon blacks being dependent upon the Democratic Party. Confusing? Not really. One of the Party’s chief tenets, and that which is most central to its survival, is the perpetual maintenance of…

Annan's hyprocrisy.

With this latest report that Saddam Hussein skimmed over $21.3 Billion dollars from the UN's oil-for-food program, it's time to demand that the UN open its books on the failed program.

But don't hold your breath--Kofi Annan's son--Kojo was a sub-contractor for the UN program and reportedly skimmed millions for himself. Besides, transparency is not a favorite word of the UN General Secretary.

Let's make a deal, Mr. Annan. Show us the books on the oil-for-food program, or you can take the UN to another country.

Update (11/17): Claudia Rossett weighs in on the UN Oil-for-food scandal with her Wall Street Journal editorial "Come Clean, Kofi". Of course, you know he can't because he is protecting his son, Kojo. Kojo was a sub-contractor with paid consultant to Cotecna Inspection SA, a Swiss-based company that received a contract for inspecting goods shipped to Iraq under the Oil-for-Food program.

Update II: The Heritage Foundation makes a clear case…

Good Job, Mr. Secretary!

How about the Presidency in '08?

Update: Condi to replace Powell.

Thank you, Veterans!

I'm still sore about the way John Kerry questioned the commander in chief of our military while our boys were in harms way. And I want his head! I believe he dishonored himself and the men who serve in our military with his constant attacks on the mission that he sanctioned.

I believe that once you place our men in the 'valley of the shadow of death', you shut up and give them everything they need to defeat the enemy. Any debate can be thoroughly vetted after the victory has been secured.

Or do you not remember the lost of confidence that our military experienced--not to mention the country--after the Vietnam defeat?

In case you don't remember--or were too young--the devastation that lack of support has on our troops this poem by one of our Vietnam Veterans.

Happy Veterans Day!

It Don’t Mean Nuthin’

“It Don’t Mean Nuthin’”
A phrase oft repeated in Vietnam, worn paper thin
By soldiers used an awful lot

Democrats are not very charitable.

What else is new? To the man on the street, the Democratic party is perceived as the champion of the downtrodden--the little man. So would you find it odd that the red states are actually more charitable than the blue states? Once again, Michelle Malkin leads the way in exposing the Democrats for the phonies that they are, by posting this Generosity Index.

I'm not surprised one bit. Personally, I find the Democrats are all talk and no conviction.

(hat tip: Michelle Malkin)

Fallujah Finally!

It has finally become obvious to the Allawi Adminstration that the hotbet of terrorist activity, Fallujah, must be exterminated. The reaction from the Sunni leadership is as predictable as ever--stop the fighting in Fallujah and let us keep our terrorists, or well take our ball and go home.

What else is new from these traitors of the Iraqi people?

How about kidnappings? Allawi's relatives
are abducted. And guess what the demand is? You guessed it--stop the battle for
Fallujah. If they weren't so predictable, their actions would be laughable.

Anybody rememeber who the Sunni's last champion was?

Now They Tell Us!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the New York has posted the following article, entitled " NEWSWEEK'S DERELICTION OF DUTY." In the report, we finally get the backroom dealings of a psychotic Presidential Candidate willing to do anything to win the Whitehouse.

Only Due to the collective good sense of the American People, have we dodged a bullet. The New York Post reports--there will be more, I suspect--that Kerry was so desperate to win the election that he offered John McCain the vice presidency with the powers of the Secretary of Defense.

John McClain's reported response:
"You're out of your mind," McCain reportedly told Kerry. "I don't even know if it's constitutional."

I've got a sneaky feeling that there is more to come. Stay Tuned..

Democratic Death Watch--Day One!

As the Democrats wax and wane in and out of their self induced political coma, we, at getting my mind right, will do everything in our power to lend the final blow to a corpse that won't lay down--The Democratic Party.

So we are going to nudge its demise along with a Death Watch:

Tom Raum reports on the deep depression that the Dems find themselves in
Democrats Have Bad Case of the Blues.

Here's my favorite quote from the article:
"My advice to the Democrats is never, never nominate anybody from Massachusetts again," said Ross Baker, a political scientist at Rutgers University.

The Democrats are whining about losing the White House--again! Guess who's come to the rescue to save them from another embarassing public meltdown....You've guessed it....slick willie is back. And he wants to be President.....of the World!

Here's his advise to the comatose Kerry and Co.

Democrats are seeing RED!

Yeah, I've kind of gotten burnt out on politics. I hope that Bush wins, but its in the hand of God (and the American People)--I hope there's enough of us left.

Here's a quote that I thought would be nice to have around the ole blog...

"If doubt is challenging you and you do not act, doubts will grow. Challenge the doubts with action and you will grow. Doubt and action are incompatible."
